Horticulture and gardening "If the Nursery Industry was a Hockey Team" Presented in Vancouver (Canada) at the CanWest horticultural trade show, this 2 hour epic drew a comparison between industry supply chain roles and those of members of an Ice Hockey team. Not a bad accomplishment seeing as I was brought up on Soccer, not Ice Hockey. "The Rock & Roll World of Plants" Presented at the Des Moines Botanic Center (Iowa, USA), this explained to members of the public how the process of introducing new plant varieties can be compared to a rock band's rise to fame. At least, as it used to happen before the music download era.
