Miriam Young:
brains are people too
Individuality
I've created this site to
impress you with my brain's professional skills and experience. From the
images dotted throughout, I hope you'll also appreciate that my brain
houses a personality with life,
energy and an individual, independent nature.
Some might argue that these pictures shatter the professional image I
should be presenting. But brains aren't always wrapped up the way
you expect them to be.
In the 1980s many people found it difficult to see past my external
image. I can't imagine why ;-) More than two decades after the picture
on the right was shot, many of the things that caused such a stir back
then are accepted
as everyday normality. Government officials have pierced noses, bank
clerks have spiked hair. Newsreaders wear large jewellery and bright clothes. I was
simply ahead of my time.
You may or may not be comforted to know that the
big hair, loud makeup and experimental clothes only put in an appearance
these days if there's an appropriately themed fancy dress party.
But my brain is still an original thinker and can usually out-perform
those that allocate more space to trying not to stand out from the
crowd. |
